Sonoma Unique Locations


The following locations exist either solely on the Legends Shard or on a random few other shards. In most cases, the locations were created during old Seer or EM events. A special thank you to Sweety from the PAS guild who submitted many of these locations during the contest and provided much assistance gating me around and rescuing my newbie self when taking the following pictures. And major thanks to Masara for pointing me in the right direction of the other locations!

Oddities:

a) There's a useless sign on the ground south of Moonglow Felucca - 20o 2'N 142o 2'W
b) An event clue book can be found in the Magincia (Fel) Great Horns Tavern
c) The West Britain Mines (Felucca) have an 2 public forges and 3 anvils
d) There's a decorative monument outside the Felucca Chamber of Virtues in Britain
e) The Felucca Counselors Guild (Britain) is beautifully decorated
f) There is a small cage west of the Bucs Den bank in Trammel - 47o 6'S 98o 5'E
g) There are strange pagan regs on a table in one of the northern rooms of British Castle
h) The roof of Britain's Shipwright (Trammel) is on fire - 11o 30'S 5o 58'E
i) Colored glowing runes adorn the ground west of Britain West Bridge - 11o 4'S 3o 43'E

1. The Counselors' Guild

Town: Britain (Trammel)
Coordinates: 9o 18’N 12o 35’E
Description:
On most shard, this building is barren in Trammel, some shards have decorations in Fel, this one is decorated on both facets

2. The Barricades

Town: Britain (Trammel)
Coordinates: 20o 55’S 11o 57’W
Description:
These barricades, part of an EM event, can be found on most shard. This one however differs from most. The color differs from one shard to the other, but this one has the symbol of Justice unlike other shards and a 2nd portion of the barricades can be found a screen west into the passage.

3. The Mage Tower

Town: Moonglow (Felucca)
Coordinates: 72o 41’N 133o 19’W
Description:

These are the remains of the Sonoma Mage Tower. Almost every shard had a mage tower at one point of their history. A few shards have lost theirs over time, due to the player owning the tower leaving the game. Since blessed establishments cannot be sold, they get destroyed when the player owning it leaves.


4. Journey's End Tavern

Town: Moonglow (Felucca)
Coordinates: 60o 17’N 132o 24’W
Description:

This NPC building just south of the large Moonglow Mage Shop has been decorated as a tavern. The stables used to work before but no longer do now.

5. Caendryl Museum

Town: Spirituality Shrine (Felucca)
Coordinates: 74o 10’S 18o 37’E
Description:

This blessed player owned museum possesses one interesting feature. Notice the wooden sign on the backwall of the west room. Click on it and it will read "Speak "finder" and be sent to Harris' Tavern by the Sea". Stand in front of the sign and say the word "finder" and you will be teleported to the tavern in Magincia.

You will appear in front of this tavern. On the western wall, there is another wooden sign. This one indicates to speak the word "Sental" and you will be teleported back to Caendryl's Museum. A plaque on the other side of the counter mentions that this tavern was built in the loving memory of Harris. Stables have also been provided in the back of the building.

6. Erndell Residence

Town: Magincia (Felucca)
Coordinates: 43o 3’S 165o 1’E
Description:

This is the residence of Winston Erndell, engineer. I do not know whether this character belongs to an EM or if he was part of an EM or Seer event.

7. Blessed Stables

Town: Trinsic (Felucca) - Spirituality Shrine
Coordinates: 73o 49’S 15o 7’E
Description:

As indicated by the house sign, this house has been blessed by the old Seers and has fully functional stables.

8. Caendryl Graves

Town: Trinsic (Felucca) - Spirituality Shrine
Coordinates: 77o 25’S 10o 49’E
Description:

The graves of Leodoran and Lauranna Caendryl, side by side, and on the western corner, surrounded by campion flowers and snowdrops, the grave of Lady Birmingham Caendryl. On each tombstone, a special virtue related message is engraved.

9. The Oasis

Town: Compassion Desert (Felucca)
Coordinates: 69o 26’N 45o 54’E - Map of The Oasis
Description:

The player town of Oasis. The blessed castle possesses teleporters to the roof of each of the towers and the red moongate takes you back to the 2nd floor. Stairs have been installed to allow access to the ground floor doors since the terrain is uneven.

The picture above is a fully functional stable with the stablemaster. Below, many small fenced rooms, apparently combat pits, can be found outside the castle, the biggest one being straight in front of the castle. There doesn't seem to be any apparent way inside the pits however. There is another blessed large home northeast of the castle, but the front door is locked. I'm wondering if there wouldn't happen to be be a teleporter inside that house granting access to the pits.

This is Lurker's Library. Sadly, while the building is public and the bookshelves can be opened, the books contained within cannot be opened. Hopefully the owner can make them accessible to everyone. But trying to open them give the "It appears to be locked" message. Based on the titles of the books, I suspect they might contain the history of previous events involving The Oasis.

10. The Race Tracks

Town: Britain (Felucca)
Coordinates: 5o 26’S 9o 8’W
Description:

It is located on one of the farm lands west of Britain. The glowing runes on the ground are numbered 1-6.

11. The Red Moongate

Town: Britain (Trammel)
Coordinates: 14o 51’N 23o 16’E
Description:

This red moongate is part of an EM event. Stepping through it takes you to the hedgemaze in Felucca. There you must make your way to the hidden lair under the farm in the center of the maze.

Speak the word "Vengeance" in front of the flaming head to be teleported inside the cave. Once inside the cave, you will not be able to recall out. You will need to speak the word "Revenge" to leave the cave. You must stand a little south from the cells to successfully teleport out so if you say the password and nothing happens, move around until you find the right spot. Beware though, you will be teleported right back in the hidden room of the hedgemaze, right in the middle of the spawn.

12. The YMCA

Town: Yew (Felucca)
Coordinates: 40o 20’N 42o 11’W
Description:

The player owned YMCA possesses many blessings including a working stable and teleporters on the roof to take you down to each of the other floors of the tower.

13. The Magdalena Museum

Town: Compassion Desert (Trammel)
Coordinates: 55o 11’N 44o 43’E
Description:

This player owned museum doesn't possess any blessings but has a lot of truly unique items on display. Take the time to open some of the golden and wooden boxes as some of them will reveal more treasures.

14. Varsuvious

Town: Moonglow (Trammel)
Coordinates: 72o 36’N 63o 19’W
Description:

This building seems to be a replacement version of the mage tower. Clearly more modern than the Mage Towers of old, this one is a customized design and has some recent decorations (such as the holiday reindeers and the warrior statues. There is a book sitting on the log outside with a message written in a code. I haven't had a chance to fiddle with it yet to try and break it, but it looks like simply replacing letters. There are a number of NPCs inside and a functional ankh (represented by a tile with the of the Honesty symbol). The bookshelves on the 3rd floor contain boxes, some of them accessible, with books and runebooks. The ogre replies in broken English when you say hello. Varsuvious (the sea serpent) doesn't seem to interact with players. Simply double click the porticulis to enter the building if it is down.
