The
Witch's Letter
Milady,
I write this
letter to you today for I am greatly concerned about the
fate of your niece. I should have come to you
sooner, but I wanted to believe all was well. I
hope my delay will not have been a fatal one.
As you know, in
the course of our studies, Clio, Marcus and I traveled
all over the land. A few months ago, we stumbled
upon a Meer village. Clio became enthralled with
them. In no time, she became the protégée of
Adranath himself. She decided to remain in Lakeshire
while Marcus and I returned to our hidden valley North of
Mistas.
Shortly after,
we received a letter from Adranath informing us that
moments after the plague hit Yew, Clio became ill.
It was hard to say what was ailing her exactly, but he
believed she was somehow being affected by the
Decay. Her symptoms werent alarming so the
Meers just insisted she remained in Lakeshire and away
from the diseased areas until she recovered. Marcus
decided to hasten his visit to the Lakeshire and
Spirituality valleys to study the fairies that live in
the tree houses. This way, our poor Clio wouldnt be
alone while the Meers were fighting back the plague by
our side.
During his stay
in Spirituality, Marcus took Clio to Blood Dungeon to
meet with Semidar. I am not quite certain what
happened, but things turned sour. In a fit of rage,
Semidar killed both Marcus and Clio and cursed their
spirit. We were able to lift the curse off Marcus,
but the Decay somehow enhanced the power of the curse on
Clio and her soul was quickly failing. We had to
take emergency measures so she wouldnt remain
forever locked in death. The Gargoyles put her
spirit in a suspended sleep to give us more time to find
a cure. Marcus believed he had found such a cure
but has since disappeared and I havent heard from
him in weeks.
Please let me
know what you wish me to do. I will assist you in
any way possible to rescue the young ones.
Sincerely
