Props and Thanks
The people that are rarely talked about but without whom
nothing could have been possible. Quite a few people
offered their help in making this event come true, and I
want them to know how much I appreciate their support,
generosity and dedication.
Tristan Beltaine
Without contest the best guide in all of Sosaria. On top
of being a good friend, he has taken me to just about
every crazy spots in UO, been a great inspiration in
writing up both the race and the story of the quest, been
a shoulder to lean on when the goings got tough, put up
with my rantings and raving as well as helped me more
times than I can count testing both the quest and the
race over and over until it actually seemed like it would
fly.
Tiffany Case
Without whom the written story would have continued to
sit on shelves because finding volunteer RPers to play
the various characters had proven to be a much more
challenging task than I ever imagined. She not only
helped me find the actors I was missing, she also filled
the role of the Oracle, Seriena, and help promote the
event.
Mouse
For helping me write the riddles, for rewriting the
sailor and pirate dialogs in proper seaman slang. For
your incredible enthusiasm and unbeatable sense of humor.
The Race
Toria & Addie Rahl
For allowing me to use their 18x18 and transforming it
into the hidden door maze. A special additional thank you
to Toria for standing for hours at the giant telescope
handing out clues to the participants who made it to that
part of the race.
Lagos
For standing for hours at the ankh in Trinsic,
distributing clues to the participants. For his help
promoting the event and his continued moral support.
Lamora & Ganja Bolero
For customizing or allowing me to customize their homes
for the purpose of the race.
Bud
For placing and customizing a barkeep for the race as
well as allowing me to use his house as a check point.
Galford Teveril and Cloud
For eradicating the reds that were slaughtering the
participants during one of the Felucca portions of the
race.
The Quest
King Hardcore
For allowing me to monopolize your Felucca house for
weeks and customizing it in the fortress. For graciously
putting up with my nitpicking and never ending changes.
Wicked Lady / Rhiannon
For her tremendous help during the trial run of the
quest, for hooking me up with UO Curse that litterally
saved me from countless hours of trying to macro the
entire script in UO *cries* as well as incarnating the
most indearing witch I could have ever hoped for.
