DIALOGUES
The Guardian
Character profile:
Not much is known of this being. The guardian has the
appearance of a human female child. She is generally
found in places where the dead are lain to rest. Her duty
is guard the resting place of those who have passed away
and see to it that their belongings are not pillaged by
man of little morals.
Dialogue
[Once a questors has found the sea chart on the shelve
and picked it up, you appear] How dare you steal from the
Dead! Have you no shame that you should come within this
sanctuary to desecrate the final home of the departed?
[Let them explain that they are here on a quest, reject
their arguments until they speak of Marcus or Clio.]
What about him? You're trying to assist him in his quest?
I see. Well this map is not the item you seek. Please
return it where you found it. Any item you will find in
this room belong to the Dead. If it's the Scholar Marcus
you seek, you will find the answer in this message he
left for his Gargoyle friends. They were to come get the
instructions he left for them many moons ago. But they
never came. Which doesn't surprise me. This is no place
for creatures of the underworld.
The message was addressed to the Gargoyles and was
therefore written in their language. Marcus speaks
Gargish fluently, but I doubt you adventurers do. You
will need to find someone to translate this for you. Or
you can do it yourself. Lord Blackthorne's castle has a
Gargish dictionnary in its library. The same is true of
Nujelm Palace.

Safe travels, Adventurers. And may your quest be a
successful one. The maiden's soul does not belong here.
