Wintermoore Museum II

This is the first of the 2 Museums Xanthar built on Atlantic (Felucca).  Everytime I go went, I was just amazed at all the true rares (yes I once was a true rares collectioner), that filedl up the place.  Actually, there were so many of them, he needed to build 2 museums to expose them all.  Sadly, the RP town of Wintermoore is no more as it was taken down in the Summer of 2004. Some of the rares in there are invaluable and are a true monument to the history of Ultima Online.  So I am quite happy to at least have these pictures to remind me of that great era of UO.

The ground floor reminds me of a palm reader's shop with the tarot deck laid out on the table, or maybe even a witch's potion room.  All these alchemy flasks are pre-patch.  The sad thing with OSI introducing glassblowing was devaluing all those former true rares.  Fortunately, there are a few other flasks like the pink and green bottles, neon hair dye and such that are still unique.  The empty jars and full reagent plants such as the mandrake roots are also one of a kind.  Notice how the pegasus on the table sitting on the abattoir is facing east.  This is also a true rare.  The craftable pegasus all face south.  I particularly like the knitting in the corner next to the stairs.  Would fit nicely in my sewing room.

The 2nd floor has a farm theme, once again, the pile of logs, the pots scattered flour, golden tray, a very nice plough  and triple stretched hides.  The stacks of iron and shadow ingots near the forges and the sheafs of hay are also a nice touch. The barn is the only thing missing to truly have farm environment.

The third floor continues the grim theme first explored in the first museum.  Blood tiles of different shapes surround a rare red chainmail tunic crowned by 2 skull candles and 3 broken chairs.  The ruined large portrait looms over the room, where stacks of pagan reagents (commonly known as necro regs) are trapped between a golden skull and bloody bandages.  On the other side of the door, a lit skull candles adorns the center of a pentagram circled by tall candles and bloody bowls.  Down the hall, a magic brazier bathes a large portrait with a warm glow.

On the roof, a marble table is framed by two small marble pillars.  Large khaldun metal statues on each side (can also be seen in Gargoyle City's stone crafters shop).  Piles of books and open books circle the table. The colored sashes are relics of quests of old, even that katana is a unique item.  That hue cannot be obtained with the present runic hammers.  Also note how the runes on the tables are reversed.
