The Hag Quest
In this quest, you visit an old witch whose apprentice has gone missing. She lives in the ruins located South from the road between Skara Brae and Yew, near the Orc Fort, North of the bandit camp. She requires you to find him and bring him back, with the only clues that he should be somewhere in or around the Yew Cemetary and that an evil imp named Zeefzorpul could have brought about his demise. Surely enough, you will eventually find the charred remains of the apprentice on the road heading towards the cemetary. The corpse will spawn when you pass the area. You cannot use someone else's apprentice. You will have to run until one spawns for you.

Once you find his corpse, run back to the hag and deliver the news. She will ask you to go back and discover Zeefzorpul's hideout and recover the list of ingredients she had given her apprentice. To find out, you will need to slay a certain number of imps (normally 3 will do). The center of the Hedgemaze in Skara Brae is a good place to go. One of them will eventually give you a map to his location and a magic flute to entice him out.

You do not need cartography to read the map. You can find the coordinates of the map under the Rune Library menu Quest Maps . Once arrived at your destination, use the flute to call Zeef. If you are at the right location, the flute will sparkle. Otherwise, nothing will happen. He will drop the parchment list at your feet and snatch the flute out of your hands.
Go back to the Witch. Since she lost her apprentice, you will fill the job. You now have to find all the items on her list. The list will include 3 items randomly chosen among the following: sheep liver, rabbit's foot, mongbat wing, chicken gizzard, rat tail, frog's leg, deer heart, lizard tongue, slime ooze, spirit essence, Swamp Water, Freshly Cut Red Mushrooms, Bones Buried In Hallowed Ground, Star Chart, and Captain Blackheart's Whiskey. All pets part will automatically be removed when you kill the appropriate animal. For the others: use an empty pitcher on a swamp; use a knife on a red mushroom; go to a cemetary and use a shovel on the graves to turn up bones; use a spyglass at night to make the star chart.
You can find great harts and hinds (both work for deers) in Delucia, right outside town, north from the bank. Ice cave and the swamps are ideal for slimes (frost ooze qualifies as slime). For sheep, rabbits and chicken, go to Jhelom Farm. For frog's tail, go right past the bridge north of Papua, leading to the desert entrance. The swamp there has plenty of them. Also the swamp outside Brit Sewers. For lizard tongue, kill Lizardmen in Despise or any swamp. For spirit essence, go to a cemetary or Deceit and kill bogles, shades or wraiths.
Captain Blackheart
He will refuse to give you some of his whiskey as long as you don't prove to him you are worthy of being a pirate: ie, that you look the part and can hold your liquor too. So dress up as a pirate (wear a tricorne hat) and start drinking, then talk to him again. Keep drinking and talking to him until he hands you a jug of his own.
In all cases, except for the Captain's whisky, you will need to gather 5 of each items. To know how many items you have gathered or what item you need to get, click on yourself once and select Quest Log from the context menu to see your progress and what you are expected to do next.
With all these, the witch will make her potion and give you your reward, including the Moonfire Brew. The reward for completing the quest is: a Cauldron, about 2045 Gold, a Magic Wand, a Magic Dagger or Kryss, a Bottle of Magical Moonfire Brew, a random level Treasure Map, 30 of each regs, as well as some Sacrifice points. You will only get Grizelda's Hangover Remedy if you had to do get the Captain's whisky.
